So Suzy Snowflakes

Hi Everyone,

I am playing with the latest release stamps, creating a Christmas card. I have been making them all year long, but I still have the feeling I am behind. Time to increase the production, I guess...

My So Suzy Stamps:

Snowflakes Large, Medium and Small, Noel

I started out heat embossing those pretty snowflakes in white onto white card stock.

Used distress inks to sponge a blue ombre background.

Wiped off the excess ink from the snowflakes. I spritzed some water onto the card. Heat embossed NOEL onto vellum and added silver tape to my vellum strip.

Love how this turned out!

Wow, Cornelia, what a lovely card! The heat embossed snowflakes show up so beautifully against your ombre background. Love the way you've used those distress oxide inks. Spritzing the water on the finished background really adds a lot of additional interest. The silver tape and rhinestones are a perfect finish to your card. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Now the song "Here comes Suzy Snowflake" is running through my head, Cornelia. I love the look of inking behind embossed snowflakes and yours embossed so well. I've had a few fails with this technique.

The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
