Crafting with a Friend

Hi Everyone, I had such a great afternoon - one of my crafting friends came over and we made cards together! The first two cards my friend designed for me to make. Aren't they pretty? The layered flowers are by Simon Says. The little leaves on the first card are Papertrey as is the sentiment. The sentiment on the second card is I also by Papertrey . I even decorated the inside (was not my idea...) And then I played around with this pretty Altenew set she brought and made another Simon Says card - this time with water color paper. I stamped with distress inks and spritzed them before stamping. The cards I designed for her I'll show you in a later post - gotta keep some goodies to post for those times when I have no or little time to craft... Blogger and Google with Friend Connect

Hello Everyone, I have a note that I wanted to pass along (I got that from Vicki, but I have seen it in similar form elsewhere in blogland). You probably have seen the same thing, but if not, this information needs to be passed along for your information.   CLICK HERE  for information from blogger on the "Friend Connect" gadget. You will notice that I have a "friend connect" or "blogger followers" gadget on the right sidebar of my blog here.  There are many people that like to let you know publicly that they are "following" your blog which is very nice and I use it myself.  HOWEVER, if this is the method at which you do get updates to my blog and you DO NOT have a Google profile, you have been automatically removed from my "followers" gadget.  What does that mean?  It means that  if this is method in which you follow along with my blog , you won't see my updated posts any longer and you will not see your profile on my "frie

Happy 4th Birthday!

Hi Everyone, I have been dropping followers like crazy - I hope its due to this odd google blogger thing that only lets you follow if you have a google account....but who knows - perhaps those people left me for different reasons... how sad. I treasure you, my dear followers, each and all of you :) I have a fun card I made for a little girl who is going to turn 4 really soon and I got inspired by the Seven Hills Craft Blog colors - the ones with the chili peppers, see below. Since the linky will be closing while I'll be sleeping I have to post this card today, so no posting tomorrow (probably..) The film strip die is by Poppy Stamps and the funny cat is by Waffle Flower. I inked her up with my treasured Kaleidocolor ink pad. The balloon 4 is by Avery Elle. I think she is going to like her card! Season's Greetings

Hi Everyone, another Christmas card - I am getting them done early this year :) This card was inspired by the challenge Jen Shurkus from Creative Chick and Audrey Tokatch from Pink Originals are running on their blogs - called the coolest Card Series. What fun! The requirements are always snow, combined with something else like stencil, watercolor etc. Now this card uses both a stencil AND watercolor and SNOW - so perhaps it qualifies for both??? But I'll be putting it into the stencil category I water colored my background, stamped the crazy bird, water colored him and added snow with a Simon Says stencil. The sentiment is also Simon Says, die cut with fun foam. I am also linking up with: Christmas Card challenge  - see colors below ATSM  - Holiday Cards und More - Waldbewohner/woodland animals      The snow here is melting fast - although not on my card :) Happy Stamping!

Jingle

Hi Everyone, I am going with my new Years resolution to start making Christmas cards early. Thankfully there are plenty of Christmas challenges all year round to play along. I am going with Happy Little Stampers jingle challenge. The stamps are by Ellen Hudson - I bought that stamp set mainly because of the star that I used at the bottom - thinking to use this all year round.... but the set also comes with that little bell - the only one I have in my stash. I heat embossed them and the strings in silver. Keep Jingling!

4 Cats

Hi Everyone, I needed a card for a little boy, so I scoured blog land for help.... and I found it! It came in the form of Paper Smooches , Just add Ink and Challenge up your life .... So here is the result: I used four colors - the requirement for Paper Smooches. Of course those funky cats are by Paper Smooches - they are my favorite cats from them, I have used them several times by now. I got them sun glasses - the snow is so bright here right now... (you can see some pictures HERE ) The layout is from Just add Ink  and the colors are from Challenge up your life         Also linking up with: The Male Room - Little Boys Simon Says Wednesday challenge - create with critters Happy Stamping!

Felt LOVE

Hi Everyone, the blizzard is still going strong, so what else would you do besides making cards??? I am playing in the Winnie & Walter rerun . I don't have the featured stamp set, so I made do with what I have.....both the die cut and stamps are by W&W. I am CASEing Heather's  cute little LOVE tag: Love how my card came out! I heat embossed the hearts and I used my sewing machine to add some stitching. Added some sequins.
