STAMPlorations Inspiration Project #44

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  Again our wonderful DT made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. And perhaps I can also inspire you to play along with us! I got inspired to make this card by my teamie Kim from Art Keeps Me Sane , who had that brilliant idea to use STAMPlorations stamps for Halloween! I used the wonky houses  by Shirley and the trees from the Vignette series .     Did a lot of sponging with distress inks (and some masking). The bats are a Martha Stewart punch. So, are you  up for some CASEing??? CASE my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. The InLinkz gallery  will be open until the 5th of November - gives you plenty of time! One winner will be randomly drawn from all entries to win a $15 gift certificate or their choice of any 2 ARTplorations stencils.     Linking up with: Addicted to CAS   AAA cards

Stamp Connection # 7

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our fifth transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements : And I choose to imitate a famous piece of art I am sure you have seen this before - it is by  René Magritte  and is called  The Empire of Lights  ( L'Empire des lumières ). I love this painting and ever since Shirley Bampton did her little series on recreating art work with stamps I wanted to make this.      All my  supplies are by STAMPlorations, including the cloud stencil. It took me forever to make this - I'll keep it short - lots of masking and sponging. Next time I'll pick an easier topic, ha! Linking up with  Happy Little Stampers - Sketch Simon Says Wor

A2z Scrapbooking - Fall is coming

Hi Everyone,  this post today is for A2zScrapbooking  - an online store for Hero Arts products with the main mission  of bringing great deals on scrapbooking supplies since 2001 while supporting worthwhile causes in the autoimmune disease area. As we are into October now I thought a fall themed card is in order..... I love this new stamp set by Hero Arts, called Color Layering Fall Trees (Cl886). It offers so many options.  I took the little tree and stamped it repeatedly to make one big tree.  Smoothed the tree out with colored pencil. Then I inked up various leaf stamps in different distress inks, spritzed them with various amounts of water and stamped. Quick and easy and I love the effect! Lastly I added some watercolor to make the ground and the sentiment. Die cut it with a stitched frame die an mounted it onto colored card stock. I hope you will get a chance to join our  monthly challenge  - its all about fall.    Remember - Hero Arts Prod

How are Things at Your End?

Hi Everyone, I fairly recently won a blog hop candy from Skipping Stones design and was dying to play with those adorable stamps.  So I made a card for their current challenge . I water colored the adorable elephant and fuzzy cut it. The background stencil is by iStencil - quite cool, I think.  Added some splatters. This is the inside of the card: Here is the inspiration picture: Linking up with: Simon Says Work It Wednesdays  Virginia's view   - all things colored    Happy Stamping!

Turned it into a sympathy card. Added little white dots with gel pen around the roses. And here is another view of mine: How about you  play along, CASE with us and link it up to the   CASEplorations gallery , which will be open for a whole month. Everyone is welcome to play using whatever supplies you have on hand. And oh yes, we will randomly draw one win
