Two Very different Cards!

Hi Everyone, I have two cards for you today. For the first one I pulled out my cute YNS stamps  and I am playing in their latest color challenge - you have to pick at least 3 colors. I settled for green, yellow and a tiny blue ink splot. Made a puddle of water on water color paper and then filled it in with water colors. Waited for it to dry and then stamped that sassy snake on it. Added some definition with a white Sharpie and some splatters, as well as the sentiment.  This is a one layer card - I love to make those. Rounded the corners.  Linking up with: Pink Elephant challenge  - Anything goes Your Next Stamp Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes And now my second card - very different and not my usual style. but I wanted to use my Ryn Tanaka stamps again - thy need to be inked up every once in a while..... This one I have had for a long time and actually never used.... I also wanted to play in the WOW embossing powder challenge - not

Addicted to Stamps and More #142

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two weeks our theme is Make your Mark - that means you must  use of anything that can make a mark - Stampin' Write, Copics, Promarkers, Painting, Chalks, Watercolours, Sponges, Stencils, Masks etc. etc. Not hard, right? I recently won that adorable stamp on the Pixie's Snippets Playground  and put it to good use right away! In case you don't know the Playground - you should go over there - all you need to have on your card is a snippet. I love it there - such an inspiring and friendly place! Now this card did not use a snippet - its a one layer card, colored with Copics. The little sentiment is by Papertrey - bent to make it curl out of the box. By the way - you still have a chance to take part in my 200 blog followers celebration - you can read about it HERE Linking up with  Simon Says Monday challenge - anything goes Hope to see you at ATSM!

For Susanne

Hi Everyone, I am sure a lot of you know Susanne from Keep in Touch - she is one of my old blogging friends. She recently injured her thumb (including tendon and nerv) and has to undergo surgery. She won't be able to make a card any time soon and I thought I'll cheer her up with a card: I kept it one layer - first I water colored the background. Then I used my brand new Misti to ink up the background stamp - did some multi-tone stamping here, does not really show in the picture. Added the sentiment. Since it did not show well I traced it with a white Sharpie. Heat embossed the Ladybugs and added a generous amount of Stickles. I really love that background stamp - I have not used it in ages....... My inspiration for this card came from my friend Gundi from Papierelle , who is celebration her 3rd year of blogging and has posted this sweet picture for us to play along with her: A blog named Hero - One layer card - all supplies by Hero Arts Throwb

LOVE the fonts!         So, if you are up for it - CASE my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. Curing the Blues....

Hi Everyone, a quick post today.... I made this card for a friend of mine (who loves shoes) and  is going through some though times right now. Hopefully this will cheer her up! I stamped those STAMPloration shoes on colored card stock, added some shading and fuzzy cut them. Mounted them with foam tape after adding cloth and Washi tape to the card base. Stamped the sentiment and doodled the frame around it, to comply with the Pink Elephant sketch :) Linking up with: ColourQ  - see below Kraft Journal  - anything goes Girlfriends Pink Elephant Challenge  - sketch Snippets Playground - the shoes are snippets Happy Stamping!
